As you may have seen in the news this week, there have been devastating floods that have impacted Queensland and parts of New South Wales. Deaf Connect has been checking in with community members to ensure their safety in addition to looking after our staff throughout this time. Sadly, the Deaf Connect Lismore office was severely impacted during the flooding event and will be closed until further notice.
We are working very hard to continue to ensure Deaf community members in affected areas stay safe and get critical emergency information as quickly as possible.
For community members who want to assist, all donations to Deaf Connect between 4 March 2022 and 1 April 2022 will be directed to community members and groups to replace items that they have lost as a result of the flooding in Lismore.
