Role Description:

Deaf Connect is looking for a full-time Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our Brisbane team. This exciting role would suit a SLP who is passionate about working with deaf and hard of hearing infants and children and wants to be part of a committed and dynamic interdisciplinary team.

Deaf Connect is the prominent service provider for deaf and hard of hearing community members across all ages. We provide speech language pathology, occupational therapy, physiotherapy, psychology and teacher of the deaf services across a number of programs, including NDIS.

The successful applicant will have the ability to handle a busy caseload and work independently and also cooperatively within a flexible structure. You must have strong interpersonal and communication skills. You will be responsible for screening, assessing and treating clients based on their individual needs/goals, writing reports and home programs, and providing family inclusive support.

About You

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Speech Language Pathology and registration with Speech Pathology Australia
  • Knowledge of typical and atypical development
  • A strong interest in working with deaf and hard of hearing children. (Experience with Auslan is highly regarded)
  • Current Queensland driver’s licence and their own vehicle (mileage reimbursed)
  • Must be eligible for a Queensland Blue Card and NDIS worker screening
