Support Worker (Brisbane North) - Deaf Connect

About the Role

About You

To succeed in this role, you’ll have:

  • Auslan skills essential (at a minimum be able to greet clients/ employees and expected to have completed Auslan I within 6 months of employment)
  • Experience working with deaf and hard of hearing people (desirable), it would also be advantageous if you have experience with behaviour support and working with deafblind individuals
  • Certificate III in Individual Support (Disability/Aged Care) or another relevant qualification, or have plans to get this in the future
  • Ability to work weekends (desirable)

Before you start, you’ll need:

  • NDIS Worker Screening Card
  • Completed NDIS Worker Orientation course
  • Current Driver Licence
  • COVID-19 vaccination certificate (mandated)
