Who we are
The Hear for Kids in School team in Brisbane (Speech Language Pathologists and Occupational Therapists) and Townsville (Speech Language Pathologists) integrate with the supports and services the student is currently receiving in school, such as Education Queensland therapists, Advisory Visiting Teachers and Guidance Officers.
The focus of this support is to enhance the child’s learning outcomes and improve their educational opportunities.

To be eligible for Hear for Kids in School the student must be:
- Eligible for verification in the category of hearing impairment (hearing loss greater than 20dB HL at any one frequency)
- Eligible for an Educational Adjustment Profile (EAP)
- Attending Prep or Year One in a State, Catholic or Independent School
- Attending a school within a 50km radius of Yeerongpilly, Taigum or Townsville

How can my child access services at their school from Hear for Kids in School?
Your child’s school has to request this service using the relevant Referral Form. Please complete and return to info@hearforkids.org.au.
