We are proud to have had the opportunity to work with the Port Adelaide Football Club on their education program focused on teaching students healthy habits.
Brett Casey, our CEO at Deaf Connect said that the organisation is excited to be working with the Port Adelaide Football Club to launch their new resource for children, Power Community Youth Program.
Port Adelaide have made clear their goal of delivering accessibility through a number of programs and Deaf Connect have been happy to partner on this latest initiative and facilitate the inclusion of Auslan – Australian Sign Language in these resources.
The Community Youth Program includes really valuable information on healthy lifestyles and some fun challenges. It’s great to see this be made accessible to Deaf and hard of hearing children.
As the largest provider of Auslan interpreting nationally, Deaf Connect have been facilitating access to emergency information throughout the COVID-19 pandemic. Today we’re excited to see Port
Adelaide recognise the importance of access to fun, community-minded information – reminding everyone that equal access is not just in times of disaster.
We are so excited to see this roll out to more students over the coming months.
