What is it?
Embark on an adventure | The Gallaudet University Immersion Program (GUIP) is a unique initiative designed for Australian Deaf individuals eager to fully immerse themselves in the educational and cultural experiences at Gallaudet University.
Taking place from 3 April to 22 April 2024*, this three-week program will involve engaging events, classroom observations, and exploration of the vibrant Deaf ecosystem in Washington D.C., USA.

Good to know
To join this adventure, here’s what you need:
Deaf & Fluent in Auslan | Deaf and fluent in Auslan.
Open to Learning | Familiar with basic ASL and/or International Sign.
18 or Above | Age should be 18 or above by 1 April 2024.
Follow the Rules | Agree to the Participation Agreement.
Chip in | Contribute $1,000 (AUD) towards the journey and a valid passport.
Be an Ambassador | Ready to represent Deaf Connect proudly.
Contribute Beyond | Commit to helping with Deaf Connect initiatives for the next 12 months.
