We’re lifting the lid on the world of workplace jargon and building it into clear strategies you can use in your day-to-day work.

Join our upcoming Interpreter PD Workshop – free for Deaf Connect Interpreters!

Ever been in a job where everyone’s leaning in, circling back, and taking things offline—but no one’s actually saying anything clearly?

Welcome to the world of workplace jargon! In this workshop, we’ll unpack the buzzwords, sense-check the messaging, and get across the nuances of corporate, IT, education, and blue-collar speak—so you’re not left trying to interpret something that doesn’t even make sense in English.

Facilitated by Nicole Clark, we’ll spend this workshop lifting the lid on what people are really saying, breaking it down, and building it into clear strategies you can use in your day-to-day work as an interpreter.

Plus, the fun part: food, drinks, and plenty of laughs with your interpreting peers! Spots are limited so make sure to register your attendance ASAP.

Please note:

This PD is available to all Deaf Connect Interpreters both hearing and Deaf. We have interpreters booked for this event. Participants must attend this event in-person as it will not be recorded or available to attend online.

All attendees will be provided with a PD evidence certificate for NAATI recertification.

Free event – RSVP required. Please RSVP by Wednesday July 22.
