Learn Australian Sign Language

Deaf Connect has a long and proud history of teaching Australian Sign Language (Auslan). We’re excited to share our language and culture with you.

We deliver Auslan classes to thousands of students each year led by educators who are experienced Deaf community members bringing lived experience, cultural knowledge and real insight into how people learn to sign Auslan in everyday life.

When you choose to study with us, all profits are reinvested into programs, supports and services that benefit and empower the Deaf community.

Find The Right Auslan Class For You

Our beginner pathway introduces everyday signing skills through easy, fun and informal sign language classes. Learners begin with basic communication skills in areas such as greetings, signs to use with family, asking questions, and fingerspelling.

Choose a learning style that suits you. You can learn from our amazing Deaf tutors in a face-to-face setting or through a guided online class. Alternatively, if you prefer to learn at your own pace, our Sign Online course offers over 14 hours of videos and fun quizzes to explore.
