What is the Community Advisory Group?

The Community Advisory Group will engage, consult, co-design and provide feedback to the organisation over the next 18 months encompassing a number of areas including, but not limited to: Deaf Space, Deaf Connect’s new Strategic Plan, and Towards 2030.

It will be made up of nine members of the public with representatives chosen across all Australian states and territories.

Members of Deaf Connect’s Executive Team will be members of CAG, along with senior representatives (including Board and Management) invited to join when required.

What's involved?

  • Members are appointed until 30 June 2025, at which time the Community Advisory Group will be reviewed.
  • Online meetings will take place quarterly on Zoom at a minimum, with meetings to be up to two hours in duration.
  • Group members will be reimbursed for their time.
  • Deaf Connect will provide the meeting content and agenda for discussion for each meeting.
