Deaf Connect are currently seeking an enthusiastic Receptionist to work on a permanent basisYou will be the first point of contact for our customers and visitors in our Parramatta office.

About The Role

This is not your standard receptionist position!  Reporting into the People and Culture team, you are not only the first point of contact for all general Deaf Connect queries but your role also supports the People and Culture (and greater Deaf Connect) team in administration support, facilities and property services, management of office supplies and other tasks as required.

Main responsibilities of the role include: 

  • Provide efficient, professional and courteous customer service to clients and staff of Deaf Connect 
  • Ensure reception, foyer and other public areas are presentable at all times 
  • Manage emails and enquiries for Deaf Connect coming to generic email address 
  • Monitor, record and distribute the incoming mail, and post outgoing mail 
  • Organising company vehicle leases, purchases and sales as required 
  • Coordinating preventative maintenance and repairs for all buildings, furniture and equipment 
  • Coordinating and processing applications for the Smoke Alarm Subsidy Scheme. 

About You

  • Experience in a customer service role with a focus on answering telephones and welcoming customers  
  • Demonstrated organisational and time management skills, ability to multi-task, plan and prioritise workload  
  • Demonstrated ability to interact positively with all levels of stakeholders  
  • Demonstrated ability to work well in a team as well as autonomously  
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and coordinate information channels within the team and other business areas  
  • Ability to communicate in Auslan.
