This is Auslan90 – Deep Dive, produced by Deaf Connect, supported by SBS.
Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people should be aware that this video contains images of deceased persons.
In addition to our Daily news, Deaf Connect produces ‘deep dive’ videos which provide more detail and context to the biggest stories of the week.
Today’s deep dive focuses on the ‘March for Australia’.
Amid rising anti-immigration attitudes, attention is turning to the upcoming ‘March For Australia’ rallies planned in cities nationwide. Organisers say they are defending national identity – but experts argue the movement is driven more by fear and misinformation than fact.
With cost-of-living pressures growing, are migrants really to blame? Or do these rallies reveal deeper anxieties about housing, economic insecurity, and social cohesion?
