This is Auslan90 – Deep Dive, produced by Deaf Connect, supported by SBS.
In addition to our Daily news, Deaf Connect produces ‘deep dive’ videos which provide more detail and context to the biggest stories of the week.
Today’s deep dive focuses on Brisbane 2032 Olympics: The Game Plan With just over seven years to go until the Brisbane 2032 Olympic Games, concerns are growing over delays, rising costs, and political disagreements, particularly around key decisions like stadium locations.
Annastacia Palaszczuk, the former Queensland Premier who played a crucial role in securing the Games, says a solid plan was in place and approved by the International Olympic Committee.
However, changes in leadership, differing views, and emerging budget gaps have complicated the process.
With Premier David Crisafulli now in charge, a review is underway. Watch the video for more.
This project is funded by the Federal Government Department of Social Services Information, Linkages and Capacity Building (ILC) program.
