Deaf Connect Welcomes Access Plus WA Deaf

Australia’s leading service provider and social impact organisation for Deaf Australians, Deaf Connect, has announced the transfer of staff and services from Access Plus WA Deaf to Deaf Connect – strengthening the existing supports for the Western Australian Deaf community.

Brett Casey (CEO, Deaf Connect) and Gary Ware (Board Member of Access Plus WA Deaf) discuss the decision to transfer the organisation over to Deaf Connect provides exciting opportunities to leverage the experience of Australia’s leading service provider, and Deaf social impact organisation for the benefit of Deaf and hard of hearing Western Australians.

From July 24 2023, all of Access Plus WA Deaf’s staff and services will be transferred to Deaf Connect. Support for clients and participants will be maintained under the Deaf Connect brand.

Gary Ware, Board Member of Access Plus WA Deaf, says that through inviting Deaf Connect to transfer staff and services from Access Plus will continue to deliver their high quality of service and community support, with the added advantage of joining a larger, national Deaf organisation.
