Perth Deaf Hub Opens as Community-Led Deaf Space
We’re thrilled to open a new pilot Deaf Hub in Perth, creating a dedicated space for the Deaf community to connect, collaborate, and thrive.
Located at Unit 1, 434 Lord Street, Mount Lawley, the Hub was inspired by insights from the Deaf Space research project and funded by the Deaf Connect Board.
The pilot aims to provide an accessible, community-focused environment where people can host events, run activities, share ideas, and build connections.
Local Deaf organisations, community groups, education providers, and community members have played a key role in bringing the project to life.

The Perth Deaf Hub will operate until April 2027, providing valuable insights into how Deaf-centred spaces can support community wellbeing and inform future Deaf Space initiatives across Australia.
