Brent Phillips, Deaf Connect’s Chief Impact Officer, visited Norway in December 2023 for a taste of the Master of Applied Deaf Studies (MADS).
Did you know that currently, there are several bachelor programs in Deaf Studies available but no master’s program. The MADS project, co-funded by the European Union, emerged from a collaboration between seven higher education institutions in Europe and the UK, aiming to address this gap.
Brent was one of approximately 25 students who participated in a Taster Week, where they were given a sneak peek of potential topics for a future master’s program.
During the event, Brent had the chance to engage with and interview several individuals.
