NWDP 2024 | Daily Theme | Diversity in Deaf Communities

Published on: 27th September 2024

It’s Day 5 of National Week of Deaf People! Today’s theme is “Diversity in Deaf Communities.”

One of the greatest strengths of the Deaf community is its diversity. We come from various cultural backgrounds and bring a wide range of experiences. Deaf Connect is dedicated to respecting and celebrating these differences. That’s why we’ve established our Community Advisory Group (CAG) to help us work toward equality and inclusion for all. Want to learn more about the CAG and how it supports our vision? Visit our website!

Photo features Joseph Formosa, a deafblind artist from NSW, signing ‘Ushers’ in Auslan.
