There are no occupational licensing, certification or specific legislative requirements applicable to this qualification at the time of publication on the National Register.
However, Deaf Connect requires students to successfully complete PSP40818 – Certificate IV in Auslan prior to enrolling in this course.
If you already have Auslan proficiency at Certificate IV level, but do not hold PSP40818 – Certificate IV in Auslan, you may be able to apply for Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) for part of the course.
Deaf Connect may also require you to undergo a Language, Literacy and Numeracy (LLN) Test and/or a Digital Learning Readiness Questionnaire as part of the enrolment process.
Note: Effective use of your arms, hands, and fingers is essential for Auslan. If you have a physical disability or sustain an injury that affects your ability to use these body parts, please inform us as soon as possible. This will allow us to assess how it may impact your course participation and discuss potential accommodations, including extensions or deferrals.
More information will be provided to you upon assessment of your eligibility for your course of choice.
You can find more information in our Enrolment Policy or in our Student Handbook.
