Deaf Connect is a national not-for-profit organisation for Deaf Australians and those who communicate in Auslan; we're an organisation led by our community.
Our SA team delivers education, interpreting and support services as well as walk-in community access and local community events.
Deaf Connect’s Adelaide location offers easy access to local services, education, and community supports. Supporting the broader Deaf community in Queensland, we provide learning pathways that help individuals, families, and workplaces build stronger communication skills and a deeper understanding of Deaf culture.

Deaf Connect Adelaide is shaped by the lived experience of Deaf community members; our Deaf trainers, support workers and staff bring that knowledge into every session, consultation and service.
After extensive community consultation, in 2022 Deaf Can:Do and the Royal Australian Deaf Society transferred their services and resources to Deaf Connect. Collectively, staff in Adelaide from our founding organisations have over 225 years of collective history delivering community-led Auslan services in South Australia and across the country.
Our team provides support services that assist with services delivered in Auslan, empowering individuals independence and participation in everyday life.

We also provide Auslan interpreters across South Australia, as well as community-based programs, supports and services for deaf children and their families, as well as community events.
If you are looking to learn Auslan in Adelaide, our classes provide clear entry points into Auslan learning with pathways that build over time.
Our Deaf trainers lead each class and bring lived experience into every session, keeping the focus on practical communication that can be applied across everyday situations. You can also learn sign language in Adelaide through structured programs designed for beginners and more advanced certificates.

Families with a deaf child may find our Therapy & Family Services suited to their needs. Programs such as private Auslan tutoring in the home and Auslan Story Time at your local libary are designed to support families with deaf children in accessing Auslan suitable for their needs. Our team can help guide you towards the services that best suit your family and circumstances.
Deaf Connect Adelaide is based in Mile End, with our office located at 200 South Rd, Mile End, SA 5031. Mile End is an inner western suburb of Adelaide, approximately 2 kilometres from the city centre, and sits within the City of West Torrens council area. The location is accessible by car and public transport, making it a practical option for people travelling from across the Adelaide area.
