Published on: 3rd July 2023

Deaf Connect is thrilled to announce its sponsorship of Cairns NAIDOC Week for the seventh consecutive year. As a longstanding supporter of the Deaf Indigenous community in Cairns, Deaf Connect is dedicated to celebrating local culture and fostering inclusivity for all.

NAIDOC Week is a significant event that honors the history, achievements, and contributions of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. This year, the week-long celebration will take place from 2 – 9 July 2023, with many activities and events that showcase the vibrancy and resilience of Indigenous culture.

Deaf Connect is excited to participate in various events throughout the week, including the highly anticipated “NAIDOC in the Park” event, which will feature an array of stalls representing small business owners, artists, sole traders, and service providers. The event promises a day filled with captivating performances on the stage and an assortment of delicious food from community food stalls.
