This is Auslan90 – Deep Dive, produced by Deaf Connect, supported by SBS.
In addition to our Daily news, Deaf Connect produces ‘deep dive’ videos which provide more detail and context to the biggest stories of the week.
Today’s deep dive focuses on Nine Months in Space.
An eight-day test mission has turned into a nine-month stint for NASA astronauts, Barry and Suni, after a technical fault left them stranded in space. The two have finally returned home but are now facing the intense challenges of readjusting to life back on Earth with gravity. Their bodies have undergone significant changes, from muscle atrophy to bone density loss and more.
Watch now to discover what happened, how they made it back, and what their journey means for the future of space travel.
