If your power bill just got more expensive, you are not alone. Electricity prices just went up for 500,000 Australians, and for some it’s a big jump. Lots of people, especially renters and families, are struggling to keep up, some even avoiding using heaters or air conditioners when they need them.
But there’s help on the way. The government is stepping in with new rules to stop surprise price hikes. Watch the video to learn more about what’s changing from 2026 and how it could help you.
