Last week, we had the privilege of attending the Australian Disability Network (ADN) Conference in Sydney, a national event focused on advancing employment opportunities for people from the disability community.
Deaf Connect was proud to sponsor and support accessibility at the conference. As part of our commitment, we provided Auslan interpreting and live captioning throughout the event to ensure inclusive access for all participants.
Deaf Connect also debuted Signs of Success, a new video series and employer handbook at the conference.
This project celebrates the achievements of Deaf Australians in the workplace and provides practical guidance for employers to confidently hire, support, and retain Deaf talent. You can explore the full series and download the toolkit on our website: deafconnect.org.au/signs-of-success
Beyond the presentations, the conference provided a valuable opportunity to network; not only with peers in the sector but also with government and industry leaders.
These conversations opened doors to new partnerships and ideas with long-term potential for impact.
If you’re curious to learn more about how we approach strategic planning and inclusive networking, come see us present at the upcoming Deaf Ecosystem Summit on 28–29 August in Sydney.
Let’s keep the conversation going!
