Deaf Connect was proud to be the Platinum Sponsor for the Auslan Teachers Conference 2025. The conference was held at Melbourne Polytechnic from September 22–24, during National Week of Deaf People. This event brought together passionate educators, leaders, and advocates. They all care about advancing Auslan teaching and building a strong community.
The conference shared new research and practical teaching strategies from across the sector. Highlights included sessions on visual iconicity in Auslan grammar and reflections on deaf history from our very own Dr. Breda of the Deaf History Collections. These sessions showed how far our community has come.
