Every four years, Deaf athletes from around the world come together to compete on the international stage at the Deaflympics – a celebration of sport, culture, and community unlike any other. For Deaflympics 2025, the Games will be held in Tokyo, Japan, and Australia is sending its largest team ever.

Backing our athletes, on and off the field
Supporting the Deaflympics is about more than medals. It’s about creating opportunities for Deaf people to achieve their goals, represent their country, and connect through a shared language and culture.
Through our sponsorship, Deaf Connect is helping Deaf Sports Australia and the team’s leadership, headed by Chef de Mission Bryn Davies, ensure athletes have the resources, training, and support they need for a successful Games.
Sharing the experience with the community
We know not everyone can make it to Tokyo – so we’re bringing the action home.
Deaf Connect will be running a special edition of Auslan90, Australia’s only daily sign language news program, to produce and share coverage from the Games. This will include medal tallies, athlete updates, and behind-the-scenes highlights – all in Auslan, made by a Deaf film crew.
That means everyone in the community can follow along, celebrate the wins, and see our athletes in action, no matter where they are.
