Mid-year Auslan Intensive Classes – Starting Soon!

Published on: 6th June 2025

Auslan Intensive Classes help you gain a basic understanding of Auslan over just four days. While an introductory course would usually take place over a few weeks, an Intensive class is a great opportunity to fit your learning into a busy schedule.

By the end of the class, you will be able to:

  • Greet others and introduce yourself
  • Give and request personal details such as phone numbers and addresses
  • Count in Auslan
  • Fingerspell in Auslan
  • Ask and answer simple questions (using “who”, “what”, “when”, “where”, etc.)
  • Communicate practical vocabulary including colours, days of the week and family
  • Express agreement and disagreement
  • Use visual-gestural communication strategies
  • Identify the Deaf Community
  • Explain effective ways of communicating with Deaf people.

The classes are taught by our experienced Deaf Trainers across Australia.

This June + July, classes are offered in:

  • South Bank, Brisbane – Monday 30 June to Thursday 3
  • Parramatta, Sydney – Monday 14 to Thursday 17 July
  • Kings Park, Perth – Monday 14 to Thursday 17 July
