NSW SES Northern Deputy Zone Commander, Superintendent Stephen Leahy stated that “On Tuesday morning we will likely see moderate flooding at Tuggerah Lake at Long Jetty. SES crews are working directly with community members, providing sandbags and also advising them of their flood risk.”
The Bureau of Meteorology has advised that the main flood peak along the Warrego River in NSW has passed the Fords Bridge Bywash during the weekend, and moderate flooding is now occurring.
The Warrego River at Fords Bridge Bywash was forecast to remain above the moderate flood level (2.30 m) during remainder of Monday and Tuesday.
Residents should avoid driving on flooded roads and walking through flooded areas.
Please ensure you, and your families and community are prepared and keep an eye on news and forecasts where possible.
