Hi there. I’m Andrew Green and this is my sign name.
My job within Deaf Connect is as a community team leader.
My job entails looking after, not only my team but client services.
My main focus is community access and the service we provide there, as well as project development on a virtual basis.
So community access covers a whole array of services.
NDIS, over 65’s, if a family has a Deaf member, we can assist them.
So there’s all sorts of supports that you might need.
If you have a complaint against a hospital or the police, or if you feel like that you have got barriers to access within any government departments or any businesses out there, public or private, we’re here for you.
If you can’t make a phone call, we can support you and ring on your behalf with you in the room.
If you receive correspondence that’s written in English and need it translated into Auslan, that’s what we’re here for too.
If you find general barriers in the community, feel free to contact us, and we can talk to you about it and refer you to the right place, or help you find a solution.
Another way to access our service is via a virtual platform.
Anywhere you are in Australia, you can contact us and our team will support you and have a conversation virtually on your mobile phone, your iPad, PC, laptop, whatever it might be. Contact us.
Just highlighting how amazing community services and all the services we provide are, and how you can access us.
Everything is always confidential.
We have very strict guidelines to adhere to that the government sets us.
Any information whatsoever, feel free to contact us. We are here to support you.
