This International Day for People with Disability, Deaf Connect’s CEO Brett Casey had the pleasure of joining Susan Graham-Ryan on ABC Radio Far North Queensland to chat about what inclusion means to the Deaf community.
We were thrilled to provide interpreting for the entire 2 hour segment, so people from all over the country can tune in!
International day for People with Disability is an opportunity to raise awareness that thousands of Australians use Auslan every day – and a chance to encourage the wider community to think about how we make society more inclusive. This day is about recognising Auslan as our language, supporting its rightful place in public life, and acknowledging Deaf people as an important part of the broader community.
