NWDP 2024 | Daily Theme | Inclusive Education

It’s Day 2 of National Week of Deaf People! Today’s theme is “Inclusive Education.”

In 2022, Deaf Australia and Deaf Connect commissioned multiple research papers about the state of Deafness in Australia.

One of those papers provided evidence and advice that the best approach to language acquisition for Deaf and hard of hearing children is bi-modal and bilingual: including access to Auslan and English.

We have several programs that support bi-modal and bi-cultural education for children, including our Therapy and Family Services program and our Auslan at Home program. Curious to learn more about our programs?
