Happy National Week of Deaf People 2023!
Today’s National Week of Deaf People theme is “Nothing Without Us”, inviting government collaboration with the Deaf community.
What better way to spend the morning than at a special event at Dumas House, sharing experiences with community members.
It was a pleasure to meet with Don Punch MP, the Western Australian Minister for Disability Services, at a special morning tea.
Deaf Connect worked with the Minister to plan the morning tea and invited key members of the WA Deaf community, including representatives from the WA Deaf Sports & Recreation Association, WA Association of the Deaf, WA Deaf Seniors, Mosman Park School for Deaf Children, Shenton College and the Australian Sign Language Interpreters Association (WA Branch).
