Join Auslan Storytime in Term 2 – starting this May!

What is Auslan Storytime? 
 
Auslan Storytime is an interactive storytelling program led by Deaf Connect in collaboration with select libraries across NSW and QLD. Sessions are led by a Deaf presenter in their primary language, serving as a positive role model for young Deaf and hard of hearing children. 
 

Auslan Storytime sessions: 

• Provide accessible stories and a positive environment for Deaf and hard of hearing kids. 

• Support early literacy and communication in Auslan and English. 

• Nurture socials skills in a fun, family-friendly space. 

• Are free and open for all to attend, including parents. 
   
   

Auslan Storytime Sessions Term 2 2025: 

City of Sydney – Glebe Library 
 
Auslan Storytime at Glebe Library is from 11:30am – 12:00pm on every 2nd Saturday. 
 

Registrations not necessary. For more information, visit the City of Sydney website. 
 

Term 2 sessions: 

• Saturday 17 May, 11:30am-12pm 

• Saturday 31 May, 11:30am-12pm 

• Saturday 14 June, 11:30am-12pm 

• Saturday 28 June, 11:30am-12pm

City of Ryde – North Ryde Library 
 
Auslan Storytime at North Ryde Library is from 10:15am-10:45am on every 2nd Saturday. 

Registrations not necessary but recommended. For more information, visit the City of Ryde website.

• Saturday 7 June, 10:15am-10:45am 

• Saturday 21 June, 10:15am-10:45am

City of Townsville – Citylibraries Flinders Street 

 Auslan Storytime at Citylibraries Flinders Street is from 9:45am-11:00am on the 2nd Saturday of each month.

City of Cairns – Earlville Library 

Auslan Storytime at Earlville Library is from 10:15am-11:15am monthly on a Saturday.
