Courses for Deaf Adults are starting soon – enrol now!

Our 4-Week Courses for Deaf Adults are starting soon in New South Wales. Enrol to gain tons of new skills for life and work in just 4 weeks!

There are two courses available: English for Work and Work Behaviours for Success.

In English for Work, you’ll practice all the basics for work, from writing emails to reports and agendas.

By the end of the course, you’ll know how to:

• Use AI to support your writing.
• Use positive language and focus on solutions in your communications.
• Write day-to-day things like emails and simple reports.
• Edit your writing and make sure it’s your best work!

This course builds on your existing skills, so you have all the tools you need for communication at work.

When: TUESDAY EVENINGS – 6.00pm to 8.30pm, 29 April to 20 May

Where: Deaf Connect, Parramatta

In Work Behaviours for Success, you will learn about what professional behaviour means and how you can be professional in communication, appearance, teamwork, and creating boundaries at work.

In this course:

• You will learn about professional communication. You will practice being responsive and asking questions, removing your emotions from difficult situations, and working towards solutions.
• You will learn how you can use AI to support your communication.
• You will learn about appearance and dress codes in different workplaces.
• You will learn about professional boundaries. What are the boundaries in a workplace? What happens when you step over a boundary? How can you fix it if you have stepped over a boundary?
• You will learn reflection skills – why is reflecting important? What questions can you ask, or what actions can you take?

When: THURSDAY EVENINGS – 6.00pm to 8.30pm, 24 April to 22 May

Where: Deaf Connect, Parramatta
