The flooding in QLD & NSW has had such a devastating impact for so many and the recovery is only just beginning. Sam introduces Simon who shares what happened during the flood and how Deaf Connect has supported the local Deaf community.
Part 2 of Simon’s update of the impact of the floods in Lismore. Simon shares information about the recovery effort and the Deaf Mud Army and Deaf 4WD group who have been supporting Deaf community members. The Deaf 4WD were provided funding from Deaf Connect to deliver groceries, supplies and fuel to Deaf community members who were impacted.
Deaf Connect has setup the Flood Recovery Assistance Fund, where Deaf community members and groups can apply for financial assistance to replace items damaged or lost as a result of the floods.
