Deaf Australians without an NDIS plan who are 65 years and older (50 years and older for Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander peoples) can book a free interpreter for:
- Appointments with your doctor
- A private medical appointment, including a specialist appointment
- Going to a bank to organise your finances
- An important meeting
- Meeting with a friend for coffee
- Your local senior’s group, tour, or trip
- Going to a community group or other social activity
- Shows and live events
- and more!

The National Sign Language Program is available to Deaf Australians without a NDIS plan who are 65 years and older (50 years and older for Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander peoples). The program includes free interpreting and captioning for interaction with Aged Care Services, medical appointments, and social and professional settings including; banking and attending weddings, funerals and cultural activities and more.
