Overview
LEAP is the only program of its kind run weekly during school terms for children in the Deaf and hard of hearing community in Western Australia.
LEAP provides valuable exposure to language and culture, a space for learning and play, and support through early years of development. This is also a playgroup that provides informal parent support, where you can network with fellow parents on a similar journey.
Our LEAP playgroups have a curated curriculum, informed by Deaf perspectives, and are managed with intention to cater to different communication abilities, enhance children’s learning outcomes and allow them to grow confidently into their identity.
