Group Activities and Weekend Outings I Support Work

Take a look at the exciting group activities our support workers host for Deaf and hard of hearing participants throughout the year! 🎉 

Our activity program allows participants to engage in community, social, and recreational experiences including: 

🌊 Aqua Fun 

🎨 Craft 

🎳 Bowling 

🍳 Weekly Cooking 

And even online bingo! 🎉 

The group activities program is currently available in Brisbane and starting soon in Perth, with plans to expand to locations such as Adelaide and Sydney. 

If you have a special outing in mind that aligns with your goals and support plan, like a visit to an art gallery or a local event, our support workers can help make that happen!

David: “Hi, my name is David Collum, and I’m a support worker for Deaf Connect. I’m here for a group activity at the movies, and all our Deaf clients enjoyed today.
Ellie: Hi, my name is Ellie. I’m here at the movies with a group of participants, and I’m a support worker for Deaf Connect.
Whetu: Hi, I’m Whetu, and my role is a support worker with Deaf Connect. We’re here today at the cinemas with our Deaf clients.
Sarah, Jess, and Ellie:
Sarah: Hello, my name is Sarah.
Jess: Hi, my name is Jess.
Ellie: And my name is Ellie. Today, we are here at the swimming pool for a fun activity. Clients come along to enjoy themselves, exercise more, socialize as a group, and enjoy the beautiful weather.
Ellie: I’m joining this to learn some new skills. I’m joining the community, and I’m joining Deaf Connect now.
Lachlan and Whetu:
Lachlan: Hey, my name is Lachlan.
Whetu: And my name is Whetu. We’re both support workers. Today, we’re at the pool for a swimming activity.
Lachlan: And what for?
Whetu: We’re here supporting clients as they attend a group activity and socialize.
Lachlan: If you want to learn some new skills, you can come along too. And what else?
Whetu: Come and join us! At Deaf Connect.”
