We’ve got some exciting news to share as part of the latest step in Deaf Connect’s Property Strategy!
It has been an incredibly busy few months for Deaf Connect – in Victoria alone we’ve been proud to be the leading supporters of Flow Festival and the Auslan Teachers Conference. We’ve sponsored The Deaf Women’s Weekend, organised by Deaf Women Victoria and we’re excited to support a number of Victorian Deaf Athletes as part of our leading sponsorship of Australian Deaflympics Team.
But on top all of that, we’re moving house! From Monday 6 October, the Deaf Connect team in Victoria will be working from a new office – a dedicated space in East Melbourne. The address is LVL 6, 250 Victoria Parade.
We’re calling it 250VP.
We launched our first Melbourne Office back in 2021 – with just a few local staff. More recently, we’ve spent around 12 months co-locating with Melbourne Polytechnic in Prahan, which has been an excellent collaboration as part of the Memorandum of Understanding between our organisations.
While our team and services have grown, we’ve reached a point where having our own dedicated space will better support both our staff and the community.
The new office space has been chosen to reflect the real local needs of our staff and community in Melbourne. We’re excited to welcome other Deaf-led organisations and community members to share space and collaborate – similar to our ongoing MOU with MPT.
The new office will also allow us to ensure the Victorian community has access to more of our traditional services – and we look forward to sharing with you all the opportunities that the new office allows for.
We’ll share more about services and events at 250VP over the coming weeks.
For now, we just wanted to say we’re looking forward to welcoming you to our new space.
See you soon at 250VP.
