Physiotherapy for deaf and hard of hearing Children

Physiotherapy for Deaf and hard of hearing children involves screening, assessing and identifying any difficulties the participant has with movement or physical tasks. Deaf Connect PTs evaluate a range of physical elements, including gait, posture, balance and coordination, among others.
Once any issues are identified, an individualised therapy program is developed in collaboration with the participant. Deaf Connect PTs will often use play or game-based activities in their therapy programs and will assess if assistive technology, such as orthotics or walking aids, are required.
