Our Team
Deaf Connect TODs are teachers with postgraduate qualifications in deaf education. They have expertise in the language, communication and social-emotional development of Deaf and hard of hearing children.
Our team work collaboratively with families, professionals and multidisciplinary teams to develop your child’s communication, literacy and language skills.
Supporting deaf and hard of hearing Children
Deaf Connect TODs play an important role in the language and communication development of Deaf and hard of hearing children. They have in-depth knowledge of the different communication opportunities available (auditory-oral; bilingual-bicultural; spoken language in combination with Auslan; and all-inclusive communication system).
They work with families to implement strategies and programs to develop communication, language and literacy, and track outcomes using evidence-based intervention protocols for individualised goal development.
