What is a Parent Mentor?

Your lived experience as a parent of a Deaf or hard of hearing child is unique and profound. It has the power to help support and educate other parents and families on their own journeys!

Parent mentors will guide and support new parents and guardians of Deaf and hard of hearing children through workshops and community-based activities.

Mentors will receive valuable training and development to deliver workshops and hold community events. They will play a pivotal role in building a strong parent network and using their experience and knowledge to lead parents, families and organisations in WA.
