[Two people are sitting on a couch, playing video games together] [Person 1, sitting on the left] Hey. Lately, I’ve noticed you’ve seemed a bit down. You alright?
[Person 2, sitting on the right] Yeah, I’m fine. Thanks for asking.
[Camera cuts to Person 2, where they look directly at the camera and sign to the viewer] [2] I know I just told my friend that I’m fine, but am I really?
[Camera cuts to Person 1, where they look directly at the camera and sign to the viewer] [1] It’s important to recognise the need for help. Struggling with your mental health can be tough. Remember, it’s okay not to be okay.
[Camera cuts back to Person 2, who signs to the camera again] [2] Struggling with your mental health can be tough, but there’s a way to find support. Organising a mental health treatment plan is a good first step.
[Camera cuts to Person 2, who is now sitting behind a desk in an executive chair] [2] The process starts with your making an appointment to see your doctor. Talking openly with your doctor about what you’re going through is crucial. They can provide valuable guidance and help you understand what support is available for you. This conversation will be detailed and help you develop your mental health treatment plan. You might need to make subsequent appointments with your doctor depending on their recommendations. In your appointment, your doctor may go through a questionnaire and ask you many questions. This is to help them work out the best way to support you and inform your mental health treatment plan. The plan may look like this.

[Camera cuts back to Person 2 at the desk, who is now signing to their doctor off-screen] [2] Also, I wanted to say that I’ve recently really been struggling.
[Camera cuts to Person 2 sitting on a couch, looking more casual] [2] It is important to understand what a mental health treatment plan covers as this will help you make informed decisions about your care and support. Finding a psychologist who is the right fit for you is key. It is your choice to change psychologists until you find one that suits you. Psychologists offer personalised support as you navigate your mental health journey.
[Camera cuts to a wider view of Person 2 on the couch. He picks up a book. Person 1 walks back into view again, and they wave hello to each other.] [1] Hey. How are you? You look great.
[2] Yeah, well, being a bit up and down recently. I’m getting some help and support, though. And today’s a good one.
[1] Well, let me know how I can support you.
[2] Will do.
[Camera cuts to a close up of Person 1, and they sign directly to the camera.] [1] Remember, struggling with your mental health can be tough. Importantly, the best way forward is to seek help. You are not alone.
[Camera cuts back to the view of both of them on the couch.] [2] All right. You ready to play?
[1] You’re going down!
[2] No way!
