Welcome to the Deaf Herald | November 2024

In this edition, we’ll provide updates on our upcoming Annual General Meeting, share more details about the Auslan90 news program, and invite you to share your feedback in our Customer Feedback Survey. We’ll also highlight our Virtual Community Access program, Support Work Service, and Short Courses for Deaf Adults in New South Wales.

You’re Invited to our Annual General Meeting!
Join us for Deaf Connect’s Annual General Meeting (AGM) on Saturday, 23 November! Held in Brisbane with Zoom options for other states, the meeting will be Auslan interpreted and live captioned.
RSVP by Friday, 15 November to receive the Zoom link if attending virtually or in-person. Members, check your email from Vero Voting for the AGM notice and how to RSVP.



Auslan90
‘Auslan90’, is a pilot news program that brings the headlines to the Deaf community in daily 90-second videos, entirely in Auslan.



Customer Feedback Survey
Deaf Connect wants your feedback! We’re gathering insights through a quick 2-minute survey sent directly to your email on Wednesday 13 November.
Your input helps us improve and tailor our services to better meet your needs.



Virtual Community Access | Support from Anywhere
Just like how you video call or message family or friends who live in another city, you can access virtual support from our Community Access staff!
Available Monday to Friday, 9:30am-12pm and 1-4pm.
